SOCIALS 
Students dance or play the night away in the FMS gyms - one for dancing and one for sports/games. Light packaged snacks and water are typically served. Nominal ticket fee and permission slip required to attend. Late bus transportation available after the event.

TEACHER APPRECIATION

Throughout the year, the FMSHSA recruits parent support to show gratitude for the incredible staff. Some favorites include "Pi(e) Day" and the traditional "Teacher Appreciation Week" in early May. 

COMMUNITY BREAKFAST
On the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving, FMS 8th Grade students annually coordinate a "Community Breakfast" and Bus Driver Luncheon. They handle decorations, serving, musical entertainment and clean up. The event is funded by the FMSHSA.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
The FMSHSA coordinates a catalog of short-term (generally 4-6 week) after school clubs in the fall, winter and spring. Examples of past clubs include Public Speaking, Dungeons & Dragons, Card Games, Gardening, etc.

Clubs will run after school until 4:00 p.m. at which time students must either take the late bus home or be promptly picked up by parents/guardians. Clubs are run by FMS staff members and cost $50 (plus materials cost if applicable). The registration fee supports programs provided by the FMSHSA for the benefit of all Frelinghuysen students.
